1. General Health Guarantee (72 Hours)

Your puppy is guaranteed to be healthy at the time of adoption.
Within 72 hours of receiving your puppy, you must take them to a licensed veterinarian for a routine wellness exam.

If the veterinarian identifies a major, life-threatening health issue that is clearly present before pickup/delivery, you may:

• Return the puppy for a full refund, OR

• Choose a replacement puppy of equal value when available

Minor conditions such as parasites, diarrhea, coccidia, kennel cough, or stress-related issues are common in puppies, easily treatable, and not covered by this guarantee.

Failure to have your puppy examined within 72 hours voids this general health guarantee.

2. Genetic Health Guarantee (1 Year)

Your puppy is guaranteed against serious, life-threatening congenital or hereditary defects for 1 year from the date of birth.

Covered genetic conditions include:

• Severe heart defects

• Severe liver shunt

• Severe kidney dysfunction

• Life-threatening neurological disorders

• Debilitating orthopedic defects (e.g., severe hip dysplasia confirmed by OFA or licensed veterinarian)

If a covered genetic condition is diagnosed:

You may choose one of the following options:

• Replacement puppy of equal value when available

• 50% refund if you prefer to keep your puppy

We do not require the puppy to be returned if you choose to keep them.

3. Not Covered by This Guarantee

The following are not covered, as they are common, manageable, or related to environment or care:

• Parasites (worms, giardia, coccidia, fleas, ticks)

• Hypoglycemia

• Minor heart murmurs (Grade 1–2)

• Hernias (umbilical or inguinal)

• Cosmetic issues (bite, coat variations, ear standing time, size, color changes)

• Stress-related conditions due to travel or adjusting to a new home

• Injury or illness caused by neglect, accidents, or improper care

• Vaccination reactions

• Breed-specific traits not impacting quality of life

This guarantee also does not cover illnesses related to low-quality food, failure to follow vet recommendations, or over-exercising puppies, which can damage joints.

4. Buyer Responsibilities

To maintain this guarantee, the buyer agrees to:

• Have the puppy examined by a licensed vet within 72 hours

• Keep the puppy current on vaccinations and deworming

• Provide high-quality food and clean living conditions

• Avoid strenuous exercise while the puppy is developing

• Seek prompt veterinary care when needed

• Not expose the puppy to unsafe environments or dogs of unknown health status

Failure to follow these care guidelines voids the guarantee.

5. Breeder Responsibilities

Finest Pups guarantees that each puppy:

• Is vet-checked before adoption

• Comes with age-appropriate vaccinations

• Has been dewormed regularly

• Has received proper nutrition and early socialization

• Is raised in a clean, loving environment

All health records will be provided at the time of pickup or delivery.

6. Replacement Puppy Policy

If a puppy qualifies for replacement:

• Replacement will be chosen from the next available litter

• Buyer is responsible for any new shipping or travel fees

• Replacement is provided only once

Refunds are not given for minor or treatable conditions.

7. No Cash Refunds for Non-Genetic Issues

Refunds or replacements are not given for:

• Behavioral issues

• Training difficulties

• Allergies

• Changes in personal circumstances

• Puppy size, ear development, coat color, or breeding potential

This guarantee is designed to protect both buyer and breeder while prioritizing the puppy’s long-term health and happiness.
